What We Do

Legal Representation

We can provide legal representation in appropriate education law cases to parents or pupils. Our solicitors regularly provide representation in cases heard by:

  • Additional Support Needs Tribunals;
  • Sheriff Courts; and
  • the Court of Session.

Education Law Helpline

Our Education Law Helpline is available to anyone who has an enquiry about any aspect of education law in Scotland. You can make an enquiry by telephone (0141 445 1955) or e-mail (advice@edlaw.org.uk). We aim to respond to all enquiries by the following working day.

We maintain a series of education law related websites (see the links to the right of this page) and we also publish a number of information leaflets. For more information, see the Our Publications page.

We provide regular in-house training to advocacy groups, parents’ organisations, the voluntary sector, schools and other education professionals. Our solicitors and case worker also regularly contribute to relevant seminars, conferences and other training events. We are happt to tailor events to meet your training requirements.
